California is on the wrong course and we need to set it right.  These are tough times with some tough decisions ahead, but we must plan for the future and prioritize.  I have no doubt that Californians can and will bounce back; we are a resilient and diverse preople with the skills necessary for success.  But right now, the political machine in Sacramento is doing us little good, running up huge billion-dollar deficits every year while continuing to spend, spend, spend.

I pledge to help return California to fiscal sanity.  I will make Sacramento be on your side, not against you, and do all that I can to create jobs, employ the unemployed, nurture business and our great entrepreneurial sprit, help farmers, and revive our once-great educational system.
